The .Marlborough Boxing Association to-night staged a professional welter weight bout of fifteen rounds between t ail Callaway, of Napier, and formerly < f Honolulu, against Tom lligby, of Blenheim, and formerly of Australia, for a purse of C7b. Both men weighed Hist bill. In the second round, Callaway rushed Rigby lo the ropes, and the latter accidentally fouled Callaway with bis elbow, tile Napier man being awarded the fight. In the preliminary amateur bouts 11. 'icad defeated Les O’Donnell, and Miss Snlhorley outpointed Don Sfraker (of Havelock). E. Ellis, of Wellington outpointed Jack Bodtla. E. Desmond outpointed Doug. Cameron. •T. Garry (of Wellington) outpointed 1L Vereoe.
