He had done his part fully in helping all along the road they should travel for their moral welfare. lie had in noli pleasure in asking Father Finncrly to acre pi. as some little token of their high esteem, a well-filled wallet. lie also extended a cordial welcome hack to I lev Dr Kennedy. l)r Kennedy, after returning thanks for Ids welcome, paid .1 high tribute to Father Fiuuerty for the faithful and capable way in which he had looked after all the parish during the absence of himself. 111 an interesting speech. Dr Kennedy recounted something of Ids experiences during his recent tour | of Ktirope and America, and concluded by again thanking Father Finnerly for the good care taken ol his llock during his absence.
Messrs ft. Wormi 11 ton, McMahon, and F. (I. (iroufsky added a cordial tribute to the departing guest, and welcome to Dr Kennedy. Father Finnerty who was heartily applauded 011 rising io reply, saiil words failed him to express his feelings, but he was grateful for their kindness, which he did not deserve. It had been a pleasure to he among them, and he left with a sense of regret. He thanked till for their expressions of regard and their handsome present, and extended a hearty welcome home to their pastor, Dr Kennedy.
