RUGBY FOOTBALL. ALL BLACKS’ ENGLISH TOUR. ttTSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. AVELLINGTON, Oetolier IG. The New Zealand Rugby Union met to-night to discuss the All Blacks’ English tour. A cable was received from the English Union, in reply to the suggestions of the New Zealand L itton regarding the terms. The only matter still to be finally settled is tho number of matches. There are several matters still in the course of negotiation. Among them is the number of matches to be played, and intervals between the tests. The New Zealand Union has suggested a daily allowance or three shillings per diem for the players, but the English Union lias disallowed this. It will, however, hoar all the incidental expenses on the tour, but England has agreed to one only. AVETIUNGTON, Oct. 17.

The N.Z.U.U. did not discuss the English tour in open meeting, and only handed a brief statement to the press from which it appeared that in addition to matters already telegraphed, the number of matches, and the intervals before test matches have yet to be settled. Alarist Club, Christchurch wrote asking to have their suspension removed. Th 0 Chairman said a letter had been sent to the Canterbury Union asking for further information and it was agreed that nothing could he done till the reply was received. Tho Union also had the boundary dispute between Taranaki and A\ r angantii before it, and decided that unless the former settle it within a month, the N.Z. Union will intervene and adjudicate.

Hawkes Bay Union wrote protesting against the decision re Mon,scar Cup. The opinion was it- has no case, but a reply would be sont.
