LATE LOCALS.
The Elsie has been bar hound at Okliru for several days btli she is expected to get out this afternoon or toluol row. While two miners, Warwick Koliweff and David Lloyd were at work in the Stale Mine yesterday morning. seme coal and stone fell, pinning 1.10.vd douu though Rothwell narrowly esen'od unhurt. The two men were working in the Morgan seam, near the place where a miner, Andrew Baker, was kt'led some months ago, when sudden y Rothwell noticed the fall coining, yclad to hi- comrade to get clear an I run back down a small drive. Lloyd ran in Hie opposite direction, but was unal-ic to gel clear and was pinned down by mine large lumps of coal, the largest piece weighing at least a ton. S*■■■■.•r.i) i•.• ners. Messrs 11. Harvey, W. v'onselia and Rothwell came to Lloyd's nssiMniioo and dug him out. His left leg was badly injured, but was not br;i ! .(n. as far as could be seen lie was ried from the mine and was iemoved to his home.
