Ist. 1021.—Received. From Board in relerence to repairs to roof of school and the blinds.—Received. From teacher. South Spit, reporting average attendance for August was K.Y .. Received. In connection with the dilheulty of obtaining relieving teachers. Mr Shannon moved that the Government be asked tu remove the present regulation as affecting payment of relieving teachers, and that the salarv of Ihe teacher to he relieved he paid. The Visiting Committee (Mr Richards and Chairman) reported that the Chairman of the Board was at the school that afternoon, and had authorised the supply of grave! at cost of £5, and asked for a report for draining the ground to Britton Street. —Received. Messrs Mack-ay and Lloyd were appointed visitors tor next mouth. ft was resolved to ask the Borough Council to connect the drain in Britlan Street to meet drain front school grounds. The matter of arranging for the < erection of a concrete fence around the i school memorial was referred to the j Chairman and Secretary to deal with. Small accounts were passed fur payment and the meeting terminated.
