The Trotting Conference concluded with a vote of thanks to Mr P. Selig for his able presidency and the experienced assistance lie .afforded the gathering. About nineteen resolutions were adopted, generally dealing with trotting interests. It was decided that a controlling body he establisned in each State of the Commonwealth with powers similar to these of the New Zealand Trotting Association, such controlling bodies to enter into reciprocal relations and all suspensions and disqualifications lor malpractice imposed by any controlling body be recognised and endorsed by the reciprocating bodies, including New /.calami. The rules adopted provide against the duplication of the mimes of horses for registration, clearance certificates of imported horses, official records of first, second and 1 hir'd pairings and for the inspection of imported horses.
