General Derivera, replying to a letter from the ex-Premier, the Marquis de Albiuemas, permits him to reside where he chooses, and trusts that the legal proceedings to he taken against his Government, which had displayed tlie worst vices, will show the Marquis Albucemas himself was not responsible as everybody admits his personal honesty. Another ex-Premier. Senior Guerra, has issued a statement, defending *hc Conservative Party, of which he is the leader. He declares that it was the upholder of constitutional monarchy and of parliamentary institutions, which were confronted by rebellion. The country, lie asserts, disapproves of wild attacks liv the now regime against the honour of all the old organised parties. The statement concludes that the Conservative Party wi’i place an obstacle in the path of +ho new regime, but will withdraw from polities, pending the realisation of the dreams of those responsible for ilio present adventure, or arrival of the terrible disasters. It is unofficially reported that the oxM misters have been arrested. A decree has been issued by the Directory, which prohibits gambling in clubs or military messes. EX-MINISTERS NOT ARRSETED. LONDON, Sept. 19. A report from Barcelona denies the arrest of the Spanish ex-Mmisters.
