MARIST CLUB SUSPENDED. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. IS The attitude taken up by the Marist Football Club, in refusing to play the Otago ’Varsity on Saturday, because the inclusion in their teams of H. Mullins and IV. Devine was *ot allowed, was discussed by the Canferhurv Rugby Inion to-night. It was decided that the Marist Club be suspended until such time as it saw fit to withdraw the letter which it sent to the union with regard to the matter and apologised. Mr G. P. Payne (the Marist representative on the union) wrote tendering his resignation, and thanking the members for the courtesy extended to him. Consideration of this letter was deferred till next meeting, it being stated that Mr Payne had resigned fronj the Marist Club,
