Ala-Fan advices state that Captain Amundsen was forced to abandon bis proposed air flight from Alaska to Hpitzbergen. over the North Pole. He intends to make another attempt, using Spit/.lsergeu as a base now. I lit plans provide for a much better equipped expedition.
