[llV TELEGRAPH —PER Pit ESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, Aug. 21 The following are the results of the New Zealand Boxing Championships, which commenced in His Majesty’s Theatre to-night, and will he concluded to-morrow night. The bouts were of four rounds of throe minutes each, The Wellington and Hawke's liny boxers did not compete.

CONFERENCE AT DUN EDI N. DUNEDIN, Aug. 21. The iirsl- conference of the boxing centre under the Boxing Council rules opened tliis morning. Mr Irwin iOtago) moved to table all correspondence regarding the Mc-Cleary-MeQuarric dispute, stating that it would he well to have the atmosphere cleared. Mr Alack, on behalf ol the couneil, stated that it could not he a party to producing the correspondence, because all the matters therein were entirely the business of the council. Further he considered that as the matter was practically disposed ol it was well to bury it. Mr F. .). Campbell (President) stated that the remit was not brought with a view n> furthering the appeal, hut the full correspondence would he useful when the disqualified members of the Otago Association were heard in the afternoon. The motion was carried. The boxing conference bad a long preliminary dispute as to the legality ‘hi the standing of the conference. The chairman. Mr Campbell, reilised to accept the Wellington motion that the meeting resolve it-oil into a emiicronce of associations. His ruling wait u .-.Us (.lined. and .Mr Handers (Auckland) took the chair. DETAIRS OF DfSPFTFS. DUNEDIN, Aug. 21. A meeting of delegates of the vniioun centres of the New Zealand Boxing Council was held ill Dunedin to-day The president, Mr F. .1. Campbell, occupied the chair, and delegates were present from Auckland in Invercargill. Trouble arose at the start, when W. G. Talbot t Wellington) raised the question of the status ol the conference. He held that delegates from the Associations. as well as the Gent res, should have a voice in the meeting. A lengthy discussion ensued, and Unally Mr W. G. Modish mow’d that this meeting resolves itself into a conference of local Associations, so as to accord with the rules. The Chairman -aid he could uoi accept the motion. A motion was then put and carried, l hat the ruling of the chair he not sustained, and Mr Campbell vacated the chair. A motion that the Coference resolve itself into a conference of delegates front the loeal Associations, am! that ii continue the business, was carried unanimously.

A deputation was received from the O.Ti.A. in reference to the disqualification imposed on Otago members, as a result of the attitude they took up in nnectioii with the dispute with the Conned. The history of the contretemps was given by the deputation and the poiiu was stressed that the Otago Association had not been given an opportunity of defending itself. it was decided to give Mr Kira Chairman of the Council) an opportunity of placing the Council's views before tho Coulerem-e.
