Matson and Co., report as follows regarding tiioir slock sale at Addington yards yesterday: ..Store Sheep—A small yarding, and good sale for all classes. Best wethers 31 s lo 335; sound mouth ewes 35s to 37s (id: others linn 23s to 37. Best hoggets 22s to 20s; others ,17s to 20s. Mutton—A large entry hut not too much for a double market. Ihe sale opened at a good advance on last week’s rate and continued throughout. the show lots selling especially well. Show v, ethers ;C3 to £5 Ids. good wethers linn *!os to 555; light weight wethers

from 28s to 325. Fat cattle—An entry of 590 head, and the quality was above the average. Exhibition lots were fewer than last year, and competition for this class was confined to a few bidders. Show steers from L'2o to £33 and one especially good steer, tip to £95, and host heifers up to £2O. Heavy steers from £lO to £1!), medium from £l3 to £ls 15s; light .CIO to £l2 10s. Heifers, best up to £lO, host butchers' weights £lO 10s to £l2 10s. Cows, best'£l2 10s to Cl 5 Ills, good £0 to £l2; older and lighter Cl 10s to £7. The rates of last week, were till exceeded on to-day’s market.
Store cattle—Owing to the double market not many store eattle came feu ward. Prices w ere about the same sa last week. A year old steers £0 to £6 7s (id; 2-vear old steers £3 10s To £1 ss. Cows, good Cl to 255; poor 15s to £l.
pigs—A large entry of fat pigs, which met with a keen demand with prices about the same as those ruling last week. Values were—Light porkers £2 15s to £.3 os; heavy £3 10s to £3 Ifis; average price Od to lOd. Light baeoners, £3 to £4 10s; heavy £1 15s to £5 ss; extra heavy to £5 15s; choppers £3 to £B, according to quality. Store pigs—A medium entry and good attendance of buyers, and prices showed an advance on late rates. Verniers 20s to 20s; small stores 25s to 33s ; medinuin 34s to 395; large stores to £2 Bs. Sows in pig £4 10s to £5 10s.
