HUGE FLYING BOAT
LONDON, May. 21. The largest flying boat in the "'oriel u now completed and ready for test in Southampton Water. Driven by Rolls-Royce engines totalling 800-h.p., ibis new flying boat can rise from the water with 1-1 passengers in addition to its pilot and mechanic, and can cruise through the air ; at an average speed of 100 miles an : hour. ! Originally intended fer use with the Fleet at sea, its boat hull is in itself , a seaworthy craft capable of riding at anchor while out at sea with the ; Fleet; but it is now to he converted LI : a passenger-earn ing machine to 1 he j used on the SouTlinmpton-Havre Air - Service which is to he opened during the next month.
