Referring to a speaker at the Catholic Congress at Birmingham who advocated the formation ot a political Catholic party on the lines ol the Popular Party in Italy and the Centre Party in Germany. Cardinal Archbishop Bourne said that such a party would be a great misfortune as the Catholic Church would be blamed for its inevitable mistakes.
