[by TELEGRAPH —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] THE HOUSE. WELLINGTON, July 20 Tho House met at 2.30 p.m. Sir G. Hunter gave notice of intention to move that Mr J. A. Young (Hamilton) he appointed Chairman of Committees. The remainder of the atternoon and evening sittings were occupied with a discussion on the State Advances Amendment Bill, in Committee, which was reported without amendment, was read a third time and passed. The sale of Food and Drugs Amendment Bill was, on the motion of Sir M . Roma re, read a second t ime pro forma and referred to flic Public Health Committee. The House rose at 10.55 p.m. till 7.30 p.m. on Monday.
