FRITZ HOLLAND

Fritz Holland’s classes, which open to-night in Keller's Sample Rooms, show promhe oi eclipsing his splendid Westport class and may come near to Grcvmouth’s record.

F'ritz has been kept- buoy since his arrival. A number of hoys and young men arc taking private lessons during the day as well as the class lesson at night. It is hoped that now that Fritz has opened his class here and boxing enthusiasm is again at a high pitch, that the local Association will he enabled to show more activity. Ihcir handicap heretofore has Itoett lack of local box mg talent, Imt with about 30 or forty now voting boxers in the district that obstacle should he overcome.

It was intended to give Hari TT«ti find Ross lads an opportunity of lotirnj nt r to box while Mr Holland is hoio, hut as his time hits run so short- before the Amateur Championships he will he unable to lit these schools in until later. However. Air Holland promises Hint he will return to the Coast at his lirst oppotUmitv, probably towards the end of the year, probably open schools at Hari Hari, Ross. Bla Khall. Roof ton. Inangahua Junction. Donnislon. Alillerton. Granity, and will again teach at Westport. Greymoutli and lit manga.

While conducting his big school in Wellington. Mr Holland had pupils from all parts of both Islands, from r = far north ns Bay of Islands, and as far south as Bluff. It was apparent that if there were so many boys in lho country districts who were so anxious to learn that- they would come to Wellington, there must be many more w 1 1 0 would like lessons from Mr Holland. but could not come. So I lit/ decided to go to them.

His schools have been uniformly successful wherever lie has taught, and some of Australia’s most prominent boxers are pupils of his. The enrolment in Hokitika is highly satisfactory.
