AY ELLINGTON, July 13 The Legislative Council met at 2-30 p.m. The Samoa Amendment Bill, the Land Transfer Amendment Bill, and the Companies Bill were introduced and read a first time. The British Nationalities and Status of .Miens in New Zealand Bill waread a second time and referred to tin Statutes Revision Committee. In reference to the Bill Iho Hon Sir 1. H I). Hell said that it was on the lineof the British Act as regards the do(milion of the persons concerned, bul ii preserved for New Zealand the rigid to sav who would he permitted to attain the full rights of British citizen ship within New Zealand. The Council adjourned at 3.311 p.m until 2.30 p.m. to-morrow. THE HOUSE. REDO FT DEBATE. The House met at 2.30 p.m. In the House of Representatives M Mas.soy announced that Sir Janie .Mien had been reappointed High Com inissinm-r for a further term of twelv months. The debate on the Budget was eon tinned by Messrs Sullivan, Ransom Lysnar, Armstrong, -Masters, Pan Nosworthy, Perrelle, and Sir .T. 1' Luke. The adjournment of the debate wa moved by Air Holland and the Hou-ro-e at 11.50 p.m. till J .30 p.m.
