During tip, evenin'-', the following presentations were made to the vicar and hiv wife:—On behalf of the parishioners. an oilskin riding coat to Mr Young; an eiderdown quilt and ease ol teaspoons to Mrs Young; a silver serviette ring to Miss Janet Toting. On behalf of St Chad's Men’s Social (Tub. a. silver tobacco box suitably engraved; on behalf of St. Child's Tennis (Tub. a |V,lined and enlarged photograph ot the ' !U'ial opening of the tennis club: oil behalf of the main Sunday School, a pair of leather gauntlet driving gloves; on behalf of the kindergarten Sunday School, leather pocket wallet,
M r Young, in thanking everyone on behalf of his wife and himself for their gifts, said how sorry he was to have To leave St Chad’s, which was his first ,mrisk, but. lie could not do otherwise than accept the call for pioneering work in the West Coast parish of Boss. Archdeacon Haggiit stated how sorry the (Tiristehurch clergy were to part with Mr Young for a time, and that his place would he hard to fill in their work and councils. Hearty cheers were given for .Mr aim Mrs Young.
