A challenge team from Greymouth, consisting of Messrs Simo, Afeldrmn, Khalk-rass. and Wild, arrived at Westport on Friday- night, to play for the Dalgleish Shield. The match was played on Saturday morning under almost the worst conditions possible, heavy- rain forming pools of water all over the links, besides making conditions uncomfortable for the players am] the many spectators who attended to see the games. Before play was liegun, Mr A. A. Wilson, President of the Clull, extended a hearty- welcome to the visitors, and expressed the hope that many such contests would bo hold In- the West. Coast Clubs.
