LONDON, June 24 In the third round ut the Gleneagles tourney, Ball beat Ritchie 5 and 1, Rivers beat Turnic* 3 and 1, and McNeil beat Lockhart 8 and 6. Kirkwood led two up at the ninth hole, which was readied in 3s, to Seymour s 40, but the latter outplayed Kirkwood homewards, especially on the greens, taking onlv 33 to Kirkwood's 37. Seymour putted brilliantly, and holed an eight-yarder at the last hole. Havers’ play was unconvincing. He took 41 out, and 43 home.
The semi-finals resulted:—F. Ball beat Seymour 3 up a,l d Ito play; Havers bear. McNeill, 2 up and 1 to play. In the final Havers bent Bfill easily by 6 up ant} 5 to play,
