CAUCUSES HELD. [llY TELEGRAPH —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, June 13. Tito three political parties held their caucuses to-day. The Liberal caucus was the first to finish. Mr IV il ford, when interviewed, said the best- way to describe the gathering was to s.-tv that it was a happy family. All the members of the party were present, or were neenunted for. It. was resolved that Mr IViI ford should oiler l ion Mr Guthrie, who is ill, tt pair. The Labour caucus unanimously reelected Mr Holland as Chairman. It was reported aiterwards that, il necessary. The following official statement, was made to the press representatives The party had a good meeting and a good spirit pervaded the proceedings. Every member uas accounted for. The business that was intended to be brought before l’nrliametit was discussed. A number of very valuable suggestions were made, which would he put before the House at the proper time. Tho I’rime Minister reported that preparations for tho work of the session were well forward and that by the time tho Governor-General's speech had been dealt with tho Financial Statement would be ready. The arrangements that might- bo necessary for the conduct of the country's business in Parliament, the caucus decided should bo left to the Prime Minister to deal with. A resolution of sympathy with Hon. D. 11. Guthrie ami the Hon. Sir William Eraser both of whom are ill. Wits passed, and hope was expressed that they would soon he restored to ln-allh. A message having been received from the Leader ol the Opposition that tho Liberal-Labour Party were willing to find a pair for Mr Guthrie during the session, the meetino expressed great gi-atitic.ition at tin action of tho Opposition Party.
