AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. TURKISH ARMY. CONSTANTINOPLE. June 7.
In view of the delays at Lausanne, a group of Turkish Nationalist Army officers have sent memorandum to Kemal Pasha, demanding that the negotiations be broken off. They declare that the Turkish Army is capable of evicting the Allies from Constantinople. LONDON. June 8.
The “Daily Express’s” Constantinople'oorespondent, just returned from a visit to the Dardanelles, states: — “The troops there welcome the prospect of an early evacuation of the mushroom town of Kclia, which is ready to disappear at the first word from Lausanne. The graves ol our dead are splendidly tended. The '1 urkish forces face the British in tranquility. except for some occasional bickering about possession of barbed wire at certain points.
