He refused, and invited the police to “Come on and have a go!” holding his rifle at the ready. AVhile the police were endeavouring to surround him lie escaped. ROY GOVERNOR’S ESCAPADES. (Received this day at 8 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 5. Roy Governor startled a family living in a tent seven miles east of Mendooran at four o’clock on Sunday morning. He peered through the flap of the tent, hut when discovered made off. Through losing his waterbag Governor is eompcdled to seek a waterhole whenever ho is thirsty. His recent travelling indicates that his food supply is low. On account of the weather it is anticipated he will attempt to secure a good food supply before seeking shelter.
