Tenders are invited to lay twenty chains, more or less, of tram, closing on Juno Bth. with Air G. Hewlett. FI umphreys. A narrow- escape from an accident Happened yesterday in Hampden Street. A motor car was being driven at a moderate speed when a young girl was met, cycling on her wrong side cf the street. The ear pulled well over to the right side, hut the child becoming confused, swung away further oil the wrong side and then came off her cycle. The driver with commendable promptitude so as to save running down the child pulled his cai to cue side with the result that one wheel went into the side drain, and later had to have assistance to pull out the ear.
