The referee stopped the M illardJohnsoii hout in the eleventh round, when after the gong clanged Jonnsin fell to the floor in his corner tumble to move. The hout which was scheduled for fifteen rounds was interesring, not for Willard’s work hut because of Johnson’s gamciicss. The latter took hard punishment, but led in every round, inflicting considerable punishment upon Willard whose body "as badly bruised. Willard’s weight was 2 is||)s and Johnson’s 195 and ill -■ it renter weight won for Willard, wlio was slow on his feet and very tired after the third round and actually wobbling as the bout drew to an end. Willard has not demonstrated his rejuvituition and despite this victory it is unlikely he can retain the championship. Rickard announces he has arraug .d to match Willard against Firpo, p'obablv on the 13th June.
