WELLINGTON. May 9. The fir-1 meeting of the newly elected Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union was held tonight. Mr S. Davis was elected as chairman. Alessrs Picniig and Deans were appointed delegate's to the Oimypie Council. The ro< ommendation of the annual general meeting to appoint five selectors from each Island was adopted. It was decided t,> invite the l liens to send in tlie names of gentlemen considered as i|iialiliod to act as selectors. U- was decided that applications for reinstatement lie decided on their
merits. It was decided to write to the New Zealand representative in England, advising him of the desire for an Imperial Conference on the rules. South Africa and New South Wales are to Lo asked to support Nrw Zealand. South Africa ami 1924 was suggested as the place and time of the conierence. Tlie unions are to he circulated and asked to secure the co-operation of all old players. Tlio question of tlie amusement tax was raised, it was reported that a deputation had waited on tlie Hon J.
