AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. THE KING AND QUEEN IN ITALY. BOME, May 7. Their Majesties, the King and Queen of England, arrived at three o’clock in the afternoon and were met and welcomed at the station by tho King and Queen of Italy and members of the Cabinet. An enormous crowd gave them an ovation in the city, which was lavishly decorated. Decorations conferred by Ilis Majesty King George, include the Grand Cross of the Bath on Premier Mussolini. ROYALTY IN BOME. ROME, May 7. Crowds are flocking to the city from all parts of the country. Forty thousand arrived by special trains. There is magnificent weather, though the heat is intense. British and Italian colours are, everywhere displayed. It is estimated three hundred thousand poople are lining the route of the Royal procession. Four dirigibles and two squadrons of aeroplanes escorted tho Royal train from Civitia Vecchiaj to Rome. The first carriage contained Kings Victor and George, the second Queens Alarv and Elena, with the Crown Prince and Duke D’Aosta. Flowers were showered on the occupants from buildings along the route. Cheers continued long after the Royalties entered the Equirinnl, and only censed when their Majesties with King V ictor and Queen Elena appeared on the balcony of the Throne room.
