",Straw hat, manufacturers and retailers are joining in a conspiracy In make Englishmen wear straw hats on and after May 10th," states the “Daily Mail.” “On May 10th every hat shop which is t a hilly; part in the campaign will (ill ils windows with straw hats, will hanish felts and velours to the hasciiiont, and villi tell each inquiring customer that a straw hat is the only wear. “The idea of the hatters is that mass suggestion will compel men to worn straw luits whether they like them or not. Also that all the men who go to hnv hats on May 10th. and are persuaded to hnv straw hats, will set a fashion which nohodv will he aide to disregard."
