“OKJ’J lAXS OF TJIE STORM.” WEDNESDAY AND TH L'KSDA Y. “Orphans of tlie Storm,” 1). AY. Griffith’s masterpiece, starring the sisters Lilian and Dorothy Gish will he presented at the Princess Theatre for two nights only on Wednesday and Thursday next. Something about the story:—Two orphans. Henrietta and ‘Louise, go to Paris to seek a cure for blindness that has befallen Louise. On the journey their beauty is noticed by the aristocratic rake, the Marquis do Presle. In Paris Henrietta is abducted by the Marquis and carried to a rove! in which the whole rank and fashion of that gorgeous Court have plunged. In her terrible peril her appealing beauty attracts the attention of the young Chevalier, and there is born one oi the most glorious love romances of all time. Almost in a twinkling, the paradise ol '.ice and beauty, til mad pleasure and costly revelry, of extravagant pageant and luxury, was shattered and wrecked. The age-old sufferings of the common people produced a whirlwind of savagery and violence, of blood and vengeance, and the two orphans are caught in that terrible tide of action. Danger succeeds danger, plot defeats counter-plot, until at the premiere of this great play, the excitement mid enthusiasm oi the audience exceeded the first showing of “Way Down East.” One paper said that “the critical first audience usual at the Apollo Theatre behaved like a lot of college boys broken loose. IMe vast throng rose on masse, waved bats, applauded, and cried.” The prices lor this big attraction are:—Circle 2s 2s: stalls, is 8d ; children Is Id. Reserved seats at Mclntosh’s.
