As you are aware my whole interests are centred in the Hiding, and I will at all times do my utmost to further the host interests of the district and County generally. I rusting to receive your valued support on polling day.-—T remain. Yours faithfully, T. R. CHESTER MAX. Kanieri. May Ith. WESTLAND COUXTY COUNCIL. TO THE CENTRAL RIDING RATEPAYERS. LADIES AND (JENTEEMEX,— TX RESPONSE TO REQUESTS from -L many ratepayers in the Riding, I have consented to nomination for a seat on the Council. My association with the County has been life long, and my knowledge of the progress and development of the district of similar duration.
'While previous Councils have left good records, I am of opinion that more active interest is required in the Central Hiding. The. question of better roads is important at this stage, and a policy of improvement in that direction "ill have my whole-hearted support? '['he rates are capable of further reduction; and with close supervision of the important works undertaken by the Council and less time devoted by the employees to small details, further economics could be effected. The matter of the Kanieri Bridge, is of first importance, and now that this work is under the control of the Council it should be put in first class order, and if returned, I shall aim at this being done. Generally, my earnest desire will ho to secure progress throughout the Biding by a. judicious expenditure of tire Council’s Funds, and if you honour me with your confidence at the Poll my aim will he in the above direction. Yours Obediently, M. KEENAN.

I can claim, therefore, Cadies and Gentlemen, if elected to represent the Central Riding that I shall bring practical experience to the Council table, which is so essential at this time when the district is cu the eve of expansion and improvement. My long experience of road construction'and upkeep I feel will claim your support as ro*icl comiTUinicfttioii transport with the present heavy traffic is a most important detail to the ratepayers. AU matters effecting the progress and advancement of the district I can assure you, Ladies and Gentlemen, will have my undivided support. Yours Faithfully, R. MEHARRY. Lower Kokatahi. May 7th., 1923.
