SATURDAY’S FIXTURES. On Saturday the Westland SubUnion fixtures will bo continued. AtHokitika four matches are set down for play. At 1.30 p.m., the third grade fixture between School and Kiwis and also tlie junior game Kokatahi v. Kiwis take place, the two grounds being utilised. At 3 o’clock the senior fixtures, Kumara v. Kiwis, and Excelsiors v. Kokatahi will be played. Tlie afternoon should give enthusiasts plenty to interest them. The fixtures for the day are: Seniors—Mari Hari v. United at Hari Hari. Juniors—Arahura v. Hari Hari. at Hari Hari, and Ross v. Excelsiors at Ross. KUMARA V. KIWI. Tiie Kumara team to play Kiwis is: Osmers, G. Afurtha, (’. The Rugby Conference to-night discussed the Boundary Commission’s report, especially that part relating to the voting power of the unions. OBSTRUCTIONIST PLAY. WELLINGTON, May 3. Among other business the X.Z. Rugby Union disposed of the motion by .Mr Deans lo abolish Hie wing forward; which was ruled out of order; but a motion was passed calling referees’ attention to the necessity of stopping obstructionist play by the wing forwards. The Boundaries Committee recommended that certain unions in the North Island should com bine, so as to make them more equal; also that the North Island should be divided into live districts as follows:—Auckland. South Auckland. Hawke’s Bay. Taranaki and AVellington.
