AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CARLE ASSOCIATION TURK DEBT TO FRANCE. DISPUTE OVER REPAYMENT. LONDON, April 30. Tile “Daily Express” Paris correspondent says: The relations between the Turks and the French at Lausanne are very strained. The whole country is solidly behind the French Government in its refusal to accept a Turkish offer to pay interest on Turkish bonds in French paper francs. This question interests every village in France, where the peasants and shopkeepers are determined that Turkish bonds shall not be brought to the level of Russian bonds.
