The Earl of Middleton's sister, who has been actively co-operating with the Irish Irregulars in Kerry, was called on to halt while cycling at Sncern, on Saturday. She refused to stop. The Free State troops, therefore opened fire and wounded her in the leg. She is reported to Ik> in a critical condition. (Lord Middleton is one of the leaders of the Unionists of Southern Ireland, hut has accepted the Free State).
