RETURNER SOLDIERS’ CLUB ROOM.
PBO PCS ED BUILDING. The decision of the Returned Soldiers' Association to aetjuirc the Supreme Hall as the nueletis of a dub-room, carries with it also a building programme which is to lie submitted to a public meeting at the County Chambers tomorrow night, when the form of campaign to rni-e the building fund will be decided upon. The Association lias obtained the right, through the favourable terms offered by the Hokitika High ,School Board, of removing the building across the street to the High School Reserve, where a larger area of land is available [or extending the building. The present lull!, it is proposed when on its new site, will be enlarged front AO feet by 31) feet, to 7A feet by 3:1 feet, an increase of fifty per cent, in the flriur -pace, and will become tile social ball of the new quarters. On the tipper side will be built tut annexe 12 feet w ide for the length of the building. This is to be devoted to a kitchenette 20lt. by 12ft., and a supper room of oOft liv 12ft. The proposed club-rooms will adorn the front of the social hall, and will consist of five rooms and two passage wavs. There will he a side entrance live feet wide which will g've exclusive entrance to the social ball, st that the hall may he used on hire, oselusive of the front club rooms.
