The occasion was the coming of age of their daughter I retie. The hall was very prettily decorated with evergreens and .streamers of mauve, pink and white paper, which, with the healit ifttl dresses of tile ladies, made a very brilliant colic. During the evening, tt presentation was made to Al.iss .Meharry ol a beautiful bouquet by little Elva Eagleton. The bouquet had been artistically arranged by Miss B. Rattenbur.v, of Taranaki. Mr 11. Kagletnn proposed the toa-t of the host and hostess and their daughter, which was drunk with musical la,Hours, after which -Air Cooper. who is a very old friend of the
