A quiet wedding was celebrated at the residence of Mr and Mrs Janies Hazeldine, Preston Road, Grevinouth, on Wednesday evening, when Miss Christina Campbell Kcir, o fScotland, was married to Air Joseph Hazeldine. The ceremony was performed hv Ensign Lambertoii, of the Salvation Army. Miss Ethel Stokes was bridesmaid and the list man was Air David Hazeldine, a brother of the bridegroom.

An accident which occurred in Preston Road on Monday afternoon resulted in somewhat serious injuries to Afiss N. Furness, of Preston Hoad. Miss Furness and another lady were cycling in Indian file. Aliss Furness turned her head to speak to her companion. and thus failed to notice ■> telegraph post, with which she collided. the impact causing her partially to lose consciousness. She . received slight concussion of the hrnin and bruises on her face and head, but no hone were broken. Site was removed to her home by motor car. and was given medical attention. She will be jnenpaeitated for a few days, hut luckily received no [lermanent injuries.

A Wellington correspondent stales: certainty that Air P. Fraser M.P. for "Wellington Central, will lie the Labour candidate tor the \\eltington Mayoralty.
