At the swimming sports, tlit quar-ter-mile ladies’ championship resulted: Miss (4. Sliand 1, Miss Y. Wall-end 2, Miss M. Wylie 3. Six started. Won by four yards. Miss Wylie was 25 yards liwy. Time 0.9 1-5.
Tiro competitors moved off from an excellent start, but Jlisses Walrovid and Sliand soon forged ahead of the field. Miss Sliand assumed the bad after a furlong was covered, and comfortably maintained it, when challenged in the last lap by .Miss AYalrond. Miss Wylie was a bad third.
