CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. .uessrs H. Matson and Co., report as follows regarding their stock sale at -Addington yards yesterday: Store sheep An exceptionally heavy yarding including a large proportion of shipped and travelled sheep, which showed a decide drop m all classes, especially ewes. Best wethers sold sl t from 2(>s to 28s, an exceptional good line from the Chatiiaius making to 325. Best young ewes making 2,s (id to 325. one good lot of local half-bred ewes making 31s. Medium sound-mouthed ewes and travelled sorts 21s to 2is, haekfard and inferior ltis lo 235. A good demand for rape lambs and no quotable difference from last week.

Store cattle.—A very small yarding, and the quality was mixed. The demand was good. Best 3-year steers £6 10s to £7 17s (id; 2-,vr ditto £3 10s to £-1 ss: heifers £3 ]ss to £4 -is; yearlings 30s to 50s: cows 25s to iOs. Pigs. Fat pigs had a medium entry which met with a good demand. Prices improved on lasi weeks rates. Light haeoners £3 12s to £4; heavy £4 to £1 8s Id: extra heavy £4 10s to £5 Is. Average price (id to fij-d.
