I in* TELEOTtATH —UUIt PRESS ASSOCIATION I WELLINGTON. Feb 20. Carr, the Australian athlete. appeared at an evening meeting on the Basin Reserve to-day. a thousand people attending. The track was on the slow side. Carr won his heat in the 100yds handicap from scratch in 10 2-osecs. He seemed to he running well within hitn-elf all the way. His powerful arm action and big stride wete most impressive. Kirksey. earlier in the way. did 100yds in 10 2-ssecs, unpaced. Krogness also practised, and appeared to he quite recovered from his injury. Merchant put the shot •Rift. Sin. in an exhibition throw.
