The picnickers soon spread over the ground of Mr •Tim Phillips, the proprietor of Maliinapua Hotel, whose hospitality conduced not a little to the people’s enjoyment. Others found delight in the sylvan loveliness of Mnliinnpiui’s shores and the Track. For others King Willow he’d the most attraction. Adult and children’s sports and open-air dancing occupied the afternoon. The Greyinouth Municipal Band which hud a good muster, played numerous selections during the dav.
