nurserymen confer. WELLINGTON. January 17. The Nurserymen’s Conference opened to-day. Mr Buxton, in :i presidential address, said that the outlook was ■bright. ITc referred to the increased membership gained since the appointment of an organiser. The Minister of Agriculture spoke on the progress of the nursery industry, and emphasised that only the best fruit should be exported. Personally, he said he believed that it would he best to devole most attention to the South American market. He agreed that there was need for a Horticulture School, but it would hare to wait until the financial position improved.
