The Native Land Court granted an application by the Minister of Mines for a block of native land at Wlumgarn, fifteen miles north of Gisburu.i to lie declared open for prospecting. At the inquest on the body of a child found buried in tho sand at Lyall Bay, Doctor Hector who made the post mortem examination, stated it was the body of a female child apparently newly horn.
