AIR SEDDON’S CAMPAIGN. Mr Seddoti, the sitting member for Westland, is closing his campaign today, and is exceedingly «ell pleased with his prospects at tho poll to-mor-row. Yesterday Mr Seddon had a Inland long day touring the Lake Brunner district chiefly. Mr Seddon left Greymouth early in the morning foi Kumara Junction. From there ho passed to Teremakau Settlement and on to Mitchells. He visited also Irishman’s and Holionu. He crossed the lake by motor boat to Moana, and at night had a very large attendance ofelectors. Mr G. Gillanders presided, and a motion of thanks and confidence was carried on the motion ol Mi Feury, seconded by Mr W. Williams. To-dav Mr Seddon returned by train to Greymouth and .left immediately afterwards for the Christchurch road. Ho, spoko at Wainiliinihi to-day and visited the settlors oil route. To-night lie has his final meeting of the campaign at Otira, where he is likely tc have very substantial support. Private messages from Greymouth to-day indicate that Mr Seddon'chances arc now considered second ti none. One report says that “a wave of Seddoiiism” has passed over tin community, and that there is a very robust feeling in favour of sending back to Parliament the sitting member who lias such line qualities to give tho best all round sendees to the con stituency. Reports from other localities are no less encouraging with tin result that tho “Gloaming” ol tin candidates fe expected to make a great finish, and account for all his opponents in the final home stretch.

MR LYNCH’S CAMPAIGN. Mr J. 1). Lynch (West Coast Pro gi'cssive candidate) gave an open air address at the corner of Weld and Hevell Streets last night. There was a cold wind blowing, hut a crowd of about 250 gathered for the occasion. Mr W. Jeffries (County Chairman) presided, and Mr Lynch spoke foi about forty minutes, at the conclusion answering a number of questions. Throughout ho was accorded an xeellent hearing.
