AUCKLAND, Dec. 4. Roy Nash pleaded guilty at the Police Court and was committed for sentence/ on charges of having obtained jewellery valued at £6B and. boots valued at LG 10s by issuing valueless cheques. Accused opened a bank account with deposits of 625, drawing £2l. When purchasing the jewellery, he paid a. cheque; for £2 as a deposit, which was honoured. The evidence showed that accused, who is aged 31. and known as Kay Edwards, had half a. share, valued at £2OOO. in a business at Napier.
