POLLARD’S PICTURES. DOUBLE STAR PROGRAMME! - Cf 4 Pollards are presenting on Monday next a grand double star programme* headed by a special British production starring Renee Kelly in an adaptation of Charles Reade’s famous drama “Foul Play”. “Scrambled Wives” starring Marguerite Clark is the second star. The picture is adapted from the play of the same, name which had a phenome- | n;tl success in New York. The storylias to do with the laughable trials and | ti' ibulfations of Miss Mary - ILucille Smith, a girl who “just can’t make her ideas behave” portrayed by Marguerite CJlark. The plot hinges around the desperate efforts of Mary Eucille to keep from an ardent suitor the fact that she has an ex-husband living and the equally desperate efforts of the woman with whom he had once eloped and from whom he had lieen promptly parted by an annulment of the marriage. The picture is well produced and" the supporting cast is a big one.The scenes of the picture include a fashionable girl’s boarding school, the elopements and a funny episode in the house of a negro Minister, an ocean voyage, the streets of New York and the beautiful ballroom and the swim ming pool of a country house.
