Concert and Ball.
Tho concert and ball in the Public Hall. Kanieri, on Wednesday, Nov gtb attracted a. very largo attendance, olio of the largest for years and it. proved very successful. Air F. Selby presided, and during an interval thanked all who ha come along to make the concert such a. success. He also thanked Mrs Head for the use of the piano, and all the ladies who were helping with the r< freslimenLs. Praise was given ATrs Manson and Miss Milner for their untiring efforts in bringing the children to such a high standard. After the concert a very enjoyable* ball followed, music being supplied by Airs Starkey, Air Rooney having charge, of the lloor, dancing being kept up to an early hour. The programme for the concert was as lol]ows :—Overture, Misses AVhiley and Aforris and Air AlcFadycn ; recitation, Myrtle Bergman ; chorus, senior .scholars, Loch Lomond; dance, sailor’s hornpipe, Melba Gibbons, (encored) ;
