' The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce reported at a meeting tonight that the Paloona would be replaced by the Moeraki in the Melbourne service. WORKING A STEAMER. GISBORNE, Nov. 21 A start was made this morning to discharge the steamer Awahou with volunteer labour. A large number of men from offices were available and it is hoped to get the vessel away for tile Coast and Auckland to-morrow. CREW NOT SIGNING ON. GKEYMOUTH, Nov 21. The Progress arrived from Lyttelton to-day. The crew’s articles have expired and the men are not signing on. Meanwhile an early .settlement is expected.
