MR McC.OMB.SillY TELEGRAPH—PER PRESS ASSOCIATION! CHRISTCII [IRC 11, Nov. 29 Mr Jus McCombs, M.P., who is socking re-election for Lyttelton, addressed his first meeting to-night. Mo said the Parliament just closed was one of the most unrepresentative that ever sat in New Zealand. On the administrative side, the Government was a ghastly failure, because it had not received a mandate ironi the people, and because it was weak in the personnel of the Cabinet. A motion of thanks and confidence was accorded Mr McCombs. A “HUMANIST” OUT. CHIUSTCFIURCM, Nov. 29. Mr R. M. Thomson, candidate for Christchurch South, who describes himself as a ‘'Humanist,” opened liis campaign to-night, lie gave general support to the Reform Party policy. He received a sympathetic, but humourously hostile reception. A vote of thanks was accorded.
