MR SEDDON AT KUMARA. Mr T. E. A’. Seddon addiessed a crowded meeting at Kufuara on Saturday night. Fleming occupied the chair and introduced the candidate, who addressed the electors for over an hour. In reply to a question respecting a statement in the Hokitika “Guardian” concerning the Grey Harbour Board, lie said that in 1925 a loan of £IOO,OOO was due, of which £95,000 was already in the hands of the Sinking Fund Commissioner, and at the due date the whole amount would he there. The loan would be completely wiped out and interest amounting to £5,000 per annum would he saved. The revenue last year was £46,000 against H’.e best previous record of £36,000 and , for the first time in the history of the | Board it showed a credit balance in all i its accounts, and furthermore had , £13,000 cash on fixed deposit in the j Bank.
