Serious Charge.

AGAINST SYDNEY DOCTOR. SYDNEY, Oct. 25 Serious charges in infamous conduct in a professional capacity have been made against one of Sydney ;■ most prominent medical men, Dr Zlotkowski, who is now appearing liefur a Medical Board to show cause why his name should not he removed from the Medical Register. The charges were first made by a weakly newspaper. Subsequently questions were asked in Parliament. The present action resulted. The first complaint alleged that Arthur Kcneh, Inspector oi Health, reported to the New South AYnles Medical Board that Dr Frederick Sobieski AYndimcr Zlotkowski was guilty of “infamous conduct” in a professional respect while acting as honorary phycioian of the out-patients’ department of Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children, and of the National Association for the Prevention and Cure of Consumption, and that lie took advantage of his positions to solicit parents and guardians to employ liini in a pr.vale enpavity, representing that the patients required his special private treatment, which they could not obtain in the hospitals or elsewhere. Tiie coinplaint alleged that, hv means of these allegations, Zlotkotvski had obtained large sums of money. Inspector Kencli asked the Board to remove the name of the doctor from tho Medical Register for New South AYales. Counsel for the inspector said that about twelve cases had been prepared, and they would hi placed before- the Board, /lotkowski’s methods were to tell patients’ parents that the case, was very serious, and that it would require special subsequent treatment.
