REVENUE FOR SEPTEMBER QUA RTER, WELLINGTON, Oct. 20. Tlii' revenue figures of the Post and Telegraph Department for the quarter ended September 30th are published in to-night’s “ Gazette.” The postal revenue was £379,385, compared with £351,010 (or the corresponding quarter of last year. The telegraph revenue was £291,884, compared with £233,713. Details of money orders are as tallows:—Amount issued £1,109,890, compared with £1,250,111; amount paid £1,023,850, compared with £1,111,585.
In the Rost Office Savings Bank the amount of deposits was £6,002,755, compared with C 7,631,891, and the withdrawals totalled £6,948,682, compared with £8,087,725. The excess of withdrawals over deposits was £45.927, compared with £455,831.
